The Roy Chapman Andrews Society

Roy Chapman Andrews Society - Before/After

The Roy Chapman Andrews Society

  • We completely redesigned the website on a new WordPress platform allowing the client the freedom to update their own website themselves directly or delegate as they choose.  They have full access and ownership rights to everything. Best practices client training is included and ongoing.
  • Under the hood, search engine optimization factors into virtually all aspects of the site design and good SEO is a function of good Keyword research.
  • Usability and site navigation has been improved throughout. This along with the addition of content and functionality better serve to inform the visitor and encourage continued engagement.
  • For the first time web analytics have been employed and the client has direct access. Training here is also provided in order to make data driven decisions for ongoing performance gains on marketing objectives.
  • We cleanly and without disruption migrated the URL and hosting from that controlled by two different “third parties” to their own. They now have full ownership, access and control over their own investment.

Note: This project is still in active development.

Thomas Franklin Warren

  • This was new web development from scratch for a local author, advocate and photographer with multiple projects and marketing objectives. The opportunity for direct expression and engagement with his audience via a website has been an attractive one. Further, the availability of both a turn-key solution and ongoing training and support provided the confidence to venture out.
  • In addition to showcasing his current and future publications, this priority needed to be in balance with providing an easy outlet for written expression and exhibiting his photography.
  • Training has been provided and is ongoing. Tom is now able to communicate directly without having to work through third party developers to update his communication to his audience.

The Angel Museum

The Angel Museum - before/after

The Angel Museum

  • The Angel Museum did not have direct access to or control over their own website. As a result updates were cumbersome to make and took a long time to get into place. While well meaning best efforts were employed it was an arrangement that simply could not keep up.
  • The website was completely rebuilt in a WordPress blog format that could be directly updated by the client or delegated as needed. Client now has full ownership, access and admin rights to manage or delegate as they choose.
  • As opposed to a static passive website the new website and broader web effort employ many opportunities to attract and engage their audience including…
    • A website optimized for natural search engine placement on targeted terms
    • Optimization for local search
    • Email capture for building a contact database
    • On-site membership and donation facility
    • Branded html newsletter
    • Social media adoption including branded Facebook fan page, YouTube, Twitter and flickr pages
    • Web 2.0 content/functionality including RSS, video syndication, social media content sharing and more
    • Embedded events calendar
    • Established an affiliate relationship
    • Extensive content additions and much more
